Sales Manager (m/f/d)

Your Position

The sales manager will manage and expand existing accounts, manage customer relationships, improve profitability, protect existing accounts, and identify new business opportunities.

Your Tasks

      • Act as a trusted partner and advisor for Biotype‘s customers
      • Manage and drive the development of customer accounts, including key activities such as: strategic account management and post-sales implementation 
      • Support execution of sales and marketing programs, promotions and strategies
      • Prepare and execute regular customer business reviews
      • Manage routine renewals of base business accounts and negotiate long-term contracts
      • Full revenue responsibility including forecasting and target performance achievement
      • Provide first level technical support
      • Provide ongoing training and coaching to customers

      Your Profile

      • University or university of applied science degree, ideally in the field of medical business or equivalent
      • Minimum of 3-5 years track record in the diagnostic industry with focus on sales, ideally in molecular diagnostics. Managing and expanding existing accounts, managing and improving customer relationships, improving profitability of accounts.
      • Track history of building business relationships, conducting negotiations and contract closing with decision makers 
      • Strong understanding of key stakeholders and customer dynamics
      • Ability to recognize problems, provide and implement solutions
      • Strong solution selling and relationship building skills
      • Excellent communication skills:  Employee must be comfortable communicating internally and externally throughout the entire sales process – initial inquiry, project pricing and negotiation, project completion and follow-up
      • Candidates must be fluent in German and English
      • The position requires the willingness to travel on a frequent basis
